Benjamin Valentin is an embedded software engineer at ML!PA Consulting, working on a RIOT-based wireless sensor platform to deliver customer specific sensor solutions for industrial IoT.
Abstract:
ML!PA provides custom sensor solutions. In our use cases, changing the battery is not an option, because sensors are typically installed in remote places, or because they are sealed to protect them from the elements. This talk will present ways to reduce the energy consumption of sensors that will mostly sleep, in the context of our various Industrial IoT use cases, which range from asset tracking to leak detection in long pipes.
