Improving IoT Security with Arm-based Processors
Hannes Tschofenig is a Distinguished Engineer with Arm. In addition to his contributions to Internet standards he tries hard to improve the developer experience with processor security technologies.
Processor technologies used in Internet of Things devices have seen amazing improvements over the last 10 years. Not only is hardware security IP common in IoT processors nowadays, software isolation techniques have been improved with TrustZone and sophisticated System on Chip designs, like Corstone. In this talk an overview of the new Arm v8.1-M security features and the latest Corstone designs will be provided. RIOT developers may find this talk relevant for the evolution of their operating system design.
